2.5 million children in America – one in every 30 children – go to sleep without a home of their own each year.

America’s Youngest Outcasts, the report released by the National Center on Family Homelessness, documents the number of homeless children in every state, their well-being, their risk for child homelessness, and state level planning and policy efforts.

Our goal? To encourage visitors to our site to share these staggering numbers with friends and family in each state to help us increase awareness of the growing number of homeless children in our country. Click on the links below to read about each of the states that have been featured to date.
